Fishkiller, did I talk to you on Sunday in the pouring rain? Did you have the women with you on the sylvan? I had the fully enclosed crestliner. Anyway, if you run out to the line. And staying to the us side of it in 52 to 55 fow were fish. I was at gander tonight buying myself a newly deserved si sonar and the kid there was telling that the beaver island marina had good jack perch in it last week. Stating his best fish was just over 1.5 lbs. but says its all small fish there now and the big fish moved back out. I'll be out Saturday morning. Hope it's not blowin and rain again

Default Perch - Nothing to report

I did go out of the SBH yesterday, but I only fished for ~1.5h. My 10 y/o daughter came along, as she had the day off from school. It was a little too cold & too windy for her...
We cruised around looking for fish between the sandbar and the Canadian line, and then we moved north along the line toward the rockpile. I didn't mark fish often, but we did see some schools suspended at ~25 feet in areas that were 45-50 feet deep. I dropped down some spreaders on line-counters to that depth, but did not get any action.
Only caught 1 perch, just off of the bottom in ~45 feet of water, in front of the windmills.
I may try to get out on Saturday. If I do, I will be going down to Sturgeon. I seem to be able to spend much more time fishing, and much less time looking, for perch at SP.
